Image handling PHP expert needed

PROJECT OUTLINE: We have created a website that acts as a photo gallery. we are having an issue with the quality of the images and are in need of a programmer who can rectify this issue quickly. Here is the project description. Create a thumbnail generator that will NOT save the thumbnails to the server. This will all be on the fly. The script will be called from the SRC of a image. Example: <img src="[login to view URL]"> d=DIRECTORY - This will have the path to where the image can be found. i=IMAGEFILE - This will hold the image name. The final look will be: $imagefile=$_GET[d].$_GET[i]; Use the above format to pull the image file. We have come up with some issues with our current thumbnail system, it creates an accurate Proportion yet the quality of the image is terrible. We need the quality to be as good as the original image. Server information: Programming Language: PHP Server: Unix/Linux Image System: GD (not GD2 - So do not use ImageCreateTrueColor) Thank you for your interest in our project.
