MUD - online rpg

Greetings I apologize for my spellings errors, english isn't my native language. We need one or two programmers for a MUD(Online multiplayer rpg system , mostly text-based) project. We have one designer, one builder, 2 3d animator, one musicians and more than 10 2d artist, 3 programmers with basic knowledges. Unfortunatly none of us have knowledge , nor the time , to build an online MUD. At first we tried to go for a 3d online videogame, unfortunatly, the project stalled too much, so now i target a project of smaller size. Unfortunatly we cannot use any pre-made MUD system because our rpg ruleset is too different, modifying a game to make it fit our unique ruleset would be harder than writting it from scratch. We need you to build, in PHP or C++, preferably in php, the core of the game. Which will permit to build the rooms, lands, characthers, etc for the players to move around, chat and fight. Mostly text based, the system will communicate either via the browser, either from a client(most probably telnet). This will be up to the coder who will decide between php or c++. If PHP is taken, then the system must be able to display one graphic per room and per characther. One music should be able to play per room. The system will obviously need a login, characther creation and account management panels. Over time, the system will be connected to several flash applet for more dynamic fights, but for now the flash battles screen are still under construction, so this will be an option and you will not need to work upon this feature, another coder will make this part. The game setting document is already done along with a draft of the database. The game must be developed on our server in order to avoid 'surprise bugs' during the final installation. Please mention if you have knowledge of MUDs and if you make the project in php or c++, within your msg. Thanks. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) Progress must be display within the 2 following. 5) Contact with the designer, builder, animators and musician via IM or EMAIL will be a requirement. ## Platform Red hat linux 7.1 web server Plesk webappliance.
