Searching for a Python programming professional who wouldn’t mind lending their expertise for a few hours to help configure and update data sequencing tools for a plant taxonomy database. We are in need of someone who knows their way around database development to create a data consolidation of several single column files of plant identification files (less than 8 columns total) to help us form a "dictionary" of plant names to later match future species data too. The "Dictionary" files are part of a pre-existing "mother" database, who comes with very specific instructions on how to align the single file columns while creating this "dictionary" file, in order to match future database information too.
The second step in configuring this data, involves locating, downloading and swapping out outdated data columns for new preformatted column data.
In addition to configuring this flat file, we are also in need of help setting up/configuring/testing functionality of a data alignment tool, to be used in conjunction with updated data in flat file to sequence data distribution for adding future data fields.
Must be able to navigate through setup steps swiftly but extremely efficiently. Must be willing to instruct partner or I on setting up the Python access files on personal computer(s) when finished as well as how to use the sequencing tool when finished. Must have access to Teambuilder.

Hello,
Do I understand correctly that you don't need any new Python program to be written?
I use Python daily for work and open source projects as well. I'm familiar with databases and ftp as well. I use Linux as my main operating system, but I configured Python development environments for Windows as well.
If you need new Python modules for the project or not, I think I can help you.
Best regards,
