You will be working for one of Australia's big 4 banks Oracle PL/SQL Developer - Banking My client is looking for the services of an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to assist them with migration of client-based applications that have been user-developed using the Microsoft Office suite (MSAccess, VBA, MSExcel) onto a client-server based platform, centred around Oracle 11g. Role: Data Layer: Migration of data from existing MSAccess & MSExcel stores, onto some pre-existing Oracle 11g artefacts (our own people will perform this task) Logic Layer: Migration of logic from existing VBA procedures & MS-SQL scripts acting on the existing data artefacts, to Oracle PL/SQL procedures acting on the Oracle 11g artefacts above (the Oracle PL/SQL developer will perform this task) Presentation Layer: Development of presentation layer, using tools compatible with Oracle 11g, to present and publish results (this will be a shared responsibility between our own people and the Oracle PL/SQL developer) Competencies: The Oracle PL/SQL developer will need to be able to understand procedures written in VBA used in conjunction with MS-SQL on MSAccess databases, and be able to functionally translate these procedures to PL/SQL on Oracle Databases.
