Let me thank you for the detailed specifications: my experience tells me that it is much easier to build a good database when you have a such a base to work on. Of course, this does not mean that I will not ask questions if I will be the developer of your database - I normally ask many of them! I start with some… - Which version of Filemaker will be using? - The DB will be hosted by FmHost; it is correct to assume that iPads will work online - i.e. they will always be connected? - Does each store have a different list of locations (and aisles)? - Would it be useful to have a system to evaluate inventory value accounting for the changes in items cost over time?
