Online test creation

We need a 2-part online test created—to be hosted on our web site. (Java may be needed). We need to be able to paste your code into our WordPress site. If WordPress is not compatible, we can work around that. This online test exists currently, but it looks outdated and does not work well. You will see exactly how it needs to work once we have chosen a supplier. The person taking the online test is sent login details (login name and password), and your job includes a method for generating the login details. We can use the person's email address as the login name, so only a password needs to be generated. PART ONE: SELECTING PREFERRED IMAGES The first part is about selecting preferred IMAGES amongst 8 which are onscreen—4 on the top row and 4 on the bottom row. We can supply the images in a size appropriate to the test, but in general 4 images across will form a row, which can be close to the width of the page. This first part needs 3 steps. Step 1: Select one image from the top row, and one from the bottom row. The instruction will be to select the image which one relates to the most. The images can be dragged to the side, or just highlighted to indicate selection. People can change their minds until satisfied. Then there is a NEXT button. Step 2: There are now 3 remaining images on top, and 3 on the bottom. (the previously selected image is now a blank space). Select one image from the top row, and one from the bottom row. The instruction will be to select the image that one relates to the least. Then there is a NEXT button. Step 3: There are now 2 remaining images on top, and 2 on the bottom. Select one image from the top row, and one from the bottom row. The instruction will be to select the image which one relates to the most. Each image is assigned a 1 to 8 number (unseen to person doing test), and they are entered in sequence of choosing into an online database you create—to help form a report. This online database can be accessed by an existing Excel file which can connect to that database as often as necessary, and the Excel file generates the report. We can show our chosen supplier exactly how this works also. PART TWO: SELECTING SKILLS The second part of the online test is to choose 10 skills out of a list of 24. The chosen skills will each generate a three digit alphanumerical code (such as 07a or 10b) which will go into the same online database informing the report. The choosing of skills must look contemporary and easy to understand. A simple list with check boxes, or 'cards' with one word on each, which can be moved around to put the top ten at the top, or other. NOTE We have all the text for the report, and the text for the various sections varies depending on the images and skills chosen. We have been generating reports for years, but it needs a new look. We will show the selected candidate all the workings of the existing system. TASK SUMMARY: -a method for generating login username and password (we here will login to a ADMIN LOGIN PAGE you create to enter the name and email address of the person who needs to do the test) -an online list of each person that has been given a username and password, as well as tracking if they have completed the online test -a method for automatically emailing the person to do the test, sending them a standard email with login details. There will be a method for adding to the email custom deadline messages in some cases. (once in a while it needs to be in a very short time frame) This method is on the ADMIN LOGIN PAGE you create. -create the 2 parts of the online test, making sure each generates data to go into a database you create. Instructions for users in the test. We supply all text. -ensure compatibility with our Excel file so it can connect to the database, download the codes (data) and generate the report.
