Looking for a creative mechanical design engineer to help improve on current CAD works and bring other sketches to life. The designs are for new concept resistance training equipment so someone with an interest in weight training would be beneficial. We have current CAD drawings for the lead product that require improvements to create an exciting, visually appealing and functionally sound product. The lead product will be for commercial gym use with other designs required to display the intended range of equipment that will be emerging in the near and longer term build plan. The lead product is to encompass 3 primary lower body resistance exercises and 4 secondary using weight plates as resistance but also exploring cable/pully systems as an option. The lead product; we have some of the working applications proven so it is not a complete mechanical re design job. What we are lacking within our current design is design flare to improve upon the functional design and create an exciting CAD visualisation of the product. This project will require someone with excellent mechanical engineering knowhow to help solve some weight baring and stability issues as well as flare for creative design to visually show the machine as a distinctive, fresh and practical solution to current physical training short falls. Communication is vital and if the right designer is found then an NDA will need to be signed so we can fully share the existing work and discuss the ongoing changes and future projects. We would be looking for someone who can start work on the project immediately and can deliver the first requirement (lead product) within 3 weeks - open to discussion. Hi there, thank you for such a detailed brief which is very rare to find in the project. I really appreciate the time you took to explain the requirements. I am a mechanical engineer with extensive experience with design, modelling and simulation. I can create photorealistic rendering from 3d models, manufacturing drawings, bill of material and support till the product is manufactured. I have gone through the details and most of it is doable. My interest is always with new products development as most of my experience is of that, taking the concept till manufacturing. 3 weeks seems to be a quite good time for the development and I think I can deliver before that but need to understand the requirements further. The NDA is not an issue and I can ensure complete confidentiality even without an NDA so that's fine by me. I would really like to discuss the project further and probably getting it done :)
