Excel and VB.net

Hello, I need help with a VB.net forms project which needs to have the below functionality: Able to upload an XLS (Excel based files) into VB forms table. Each column in the table needs to map to excel column. The forms table needs to have data editable if user needs to change any field data. Just need a prototype of the above. Will work with the freelancer to explore options that can have a scalable solution. This is what I would call a very high level requirement. I want someone to discuss requirements with more detail and help me visualize the solution before implementing the project. In this way we can brainstorm and come up with a design that could be better than what I have proposed above. We can work into multi phase development if all goes well on the above requirement. I want to get comfortable with the developer first, will pay for a working prototype.
