Golf Club Fitting Hardware / Software / Algorithm Development

After a first contractor was incompetently slow and then sadly suffered a stroke literally days before it was hoped this project would finally be functional (he is still out indefinitely with a substantial sum of my money that may be forever gone now), and after a second contractor has now totally flopped with some more of my money while delivering nothing useful in time for an annual trade show (now over), I am now in a position where the patent protection period is half over for this system with nothing to show for it yet and essentially back to square one for finding a suitable contractor(s) to help. Time is now of the essence and becoming more critical with each passing day. This is a golf-related project that the industry needs very badly at this point in order to prevent the clubfitting trade from continuing its horrible and embarrassing performance record and reputation. Some knowledge of and/or interest in golf and the game's future might be a plus, but is not required and might actually hurt the project due to so much deeply embedded incorrect knowledge within the golf industry. This device(s) and application comprise first tracking and logging golf club movement data before any part of a golf swing is even begun (the pre-swing period). While the use of a 3-D wireless sensor(s) attached to a golf club might at first thought seem most appropriate, a video camera or other type system has surely not been ruled out. A selected part(s) of the acquired data then needs to be processed through an appropriate algorithm(s) to determine a single rotation point location. Help is needed in areas including hardware selection and development, software application development, and algorithm development. A prototype with which to gather critical foundational testing data for early analysis is first required in the shortest time possible time and at minimal expense before the project can proceed further. Conveying one's choice(s) of the best off-the-shelf hardware for this prototype and why (if so qualified) could potentially be a factor toward being chosen to develop one or more software elements for the prototype (if also so qualified). If making a quote, please note whether you are a specialist desiring to contribute to any one particular skill described or whether you consider yourself qualified to develop multiple aspects of the project. Though crudely produced quite quickly very recently, a requirements document that details various elements of the project and experiences to date is attached for inspection if desired. Also attached for inspection if desired is the manual produced by the first contractor for the sensor hardware he developed.
