I have a 500 page manuscript in PDF (or on paper)...

I need it to get my "lost" book into Word format. (I had it in Word format but the computer on which it was located is no longer available, fortunately I had a printed copy of a recent version). I also paid a local company to scan it at 600dpi. It's a textbook I wrote. Okay, there are about 500 pages in the printed work. I’ve attached18 of them to give you an idea of the different types of pages you might encounter. I have compressed this file to 300dpi for emailing purpose as it was 12MB uncompressed. I’d provide the original document which would have to be properly scanned and then returned to me intact (it’s unbound loose pages). Things to note: 1. The Colophon explains the use of fonts and what I did and how. 2. Note where headers and footers are as depending on the what section of the book they’re in, they move. 3. Notice references which refer to other parts of the book. These are all links in Word, but if it’s too much work, I’d accept a highlighting of the text and re-do the link myself. 4. The index page is all from the hidden tags so I’d have to do that myself I suppose. I wouldn’t expect the index to be done by you. Because it’s not practical unless your Word document is EXACTLY matching mine (as the page numbers will change). 5. Table of Contents and Table of Charts were all created using internal Word features and just changing the size/font. 6. I’ve included various tables, charts, graphics, all of which were created by inserting an image (scan those in place) or using internal word tools for tables, charts, equations, and even smart art (ick). 7. A page with various accented words and special symbols is included from the “writing” section of the text. There are lots of accent marks throughout. 8. I have a sample of chapter-end questions page too. 9. You’ll see the text, the various outlining used. Embedded Excel charts can just be faked using tables. There’s no other way. I may take the tables, import them to Excel and create them again. (It was cool how I could update the text, and everything would stay updated. Sigh.) 10. The sample business letter represents one page of about 30 letters. Those are watermarked to prevent someone from trying to use one. I can live without the watermark. You’ll notice that section is formatted differently to preserved the integrity of the letter. 11. The Bibliography and Index were (and TOC and Chart listing) done using Word’s internal citation tool. It is not typed but created automatically (and updated). 12. Artwork can use scans of existing until I can get original replacement artwork. Please note that if you use Word’s autocorrect feature on this manuscript it will introduce all manner of errors. Seriously. Word is stupid and in several cases wanted to replace words with incorrect ones. If you insist on using it, a human must check each instance. Don’t let it run riot. That’s everything I can think of. I look forward to receiving an offer. And let me be honest. I emailed a few services online and the scamming started quickly. One sent me a sample OCR page that was a joke; it came out crappy and all mis-formatted so I'm not sure that's the way to go (but it was absurdly cheap). Another changed the price. Lastly I will require both an emailed copy AND a CD/Flash Drive of the file (flash drive to be paid separately from the job.) I do not want editing. I'm really good at it and it's pretty well-edited now. (I won't object to suggestions, but I want the text input AS-IS.) Thanks for looking at this, Eric Seiden
