I want someone to write me a “play script” with the following title and theme: The Kingdom of Light vs the Kingdom of Darkness. I am a Youth Minister at my church. I work with teenagers. I want to do some out reach work with the teens in helping to bring other teens who don’t know Christ to Repentant by accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior. Explaining Christ to teens are a challenge because they don’t know much about who he is and why he came into the world. They don’t know the consequences of sin, and not accepting him as Lord and Savior. Rather than trying to tell a long story about who Christ is, and why it is important to receive him, I would like for actors and actresses to act out the story. The plot will start from the beginning by explaining how the two kingdoms came into existence, what one needs to do to become a part of either, and what are the consequences for your choosing one over the other. After watching the play, teens will understand the story of creation, the fall of man, and how we were redeemed back to God through the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and how we can become a part of the kingdom of light or the kingdom of darkness. I am looking for Someone who knows the story of Creation as written in the bible. It is important that you know how man fell from the grace of God, and how Satan, the Devil came onto the scene and hence two Kingdoms was created. The Kingdom of Light, who is ruled and controlled by God, and the Kingdom of Darkness, that was created and is ruled by Satan the devil. This may not make sense to you if you don’t know the bible. I am looking for someone who has knowledge and have a good sense of what I am asking for.

Dear Youth Pastor, I think what you are doing is awesome! I would love to have the opportunity to aid you in your endeavor by writing the play for you. In 2002, as a Wednesday Night Kids Church teacher for 7- to 12-year-olds, I wrote and directed a Nativity play that combined the birth of Christ as told in Luke with Christmas carols that coincided to each Bible verse. The play was used again this past Christmas, in an abbreviated version, for 4- to 12-year-olds at a different church. As I read your description of the project, I was already getting ideas of how best to simply portray the fall of Lucifer, the temptation in the Garden, God the Father sending Jesus to redeem us on the cross, and then a couple of scenes with teens being tempted in different areas (with Satan on one side pushing them to sin and Jesus on the other beckoning them to come to Him) of which 1/2 will make the wrong choice and learn that the wages of sin is death (such as one overdosing and one getting shot), and the other half will pray the sinner's prayer and accept Christ and live. You can be assured that I would ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in writing this play, as it may be the last time, or even the only time, that some of the teens who see it will hear the Gospel and will thus have eternal impact in their lives.
