Architectural hardware - 2 pieces. Based on STL files (or PLY, OBJ please specify), the scans must be reverse engineered with GEOMAGIC DESIGN X. All symmetrical elements may only be drawn once and should then be copied, mirrored or revolved. Maximal use of solid primitives must be made. The drawn model should follow the scanned model as close as possible. In case a choice must be made, symmetry prevails. The two parts have to work and fit together, that is the hole in the handle (with the sprocket with 2 pins) has to correspond with the hole in the housing. Also the 4 holes for screwing the housing to the wooden window frame need to be made. The result is a complete feature tree that builds up the model. The feature tree must be exportable to AUTOCAD INVENTOR so that further engineering upon the model is possible. For the result, *.xlr (Geomagic) and *.ipt (Inventor) files of the models are expected. STL or other format will be delivered upon demand. Please mention "ARCH" in the subject of your answer.

For some of my projects, I'm also doing the physical prototype too. I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - don't know if you know, but on the scanned files, the middle/reference planes are not preserved and while reverse engineering is necessary to define new planes, cut the piece in half, do the required modeling where possible and than mirror it, with respect to all the parts in the assembly 2 - as you said, geomagic is the best but is not always enough... :( 3 - if you could send me the stl file, i will check the integrity of the mesh and see if is workable - no charge for the checking :) Regards Bogdan
