I need a small program (C, C++ or Python) to generate FFT frequency bin data from a WAV file (the goal is to use this data basically to create something which looks like an animated equalizer for playing sound). The data can be written to a text-data file for then further processing. You can use any library you want as long as it's recent/supported and readily available on Ubuntu Linux.
