Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROVs) are underwater robots used for recoding videos, inspection and survey activities below the water surface. ROVs carry a variety of sensors and devices with them –thrusters, lights, cameras, various sensors such as depth sensor, altimeter, compass, remote control joysticks etc. ROVs are controlled remotely by a human operator providing control inputs over a local area network to the ROV computer.
This task requires development of a desktop based or a web-based application for the remote configuration of the various sensors and devices attached to the ROV. A desktop application is preferred. Further, the application must log the data parameters being received from the sensors and devices as well.
