Over the past 3 years I have been developing project management application. The app is called PersonalPMO which effectively means - Personal Project Management Office. The app is currently still in the first main release and has been downloaded well over 1000 times. I have been working with a great team in Romania however their main developer has other commitments now which preclude him from being able to work on the application to the extent that we would like him to be able to. As such, I am looking to replace him with a developer who can take over the application side of the development. It is written in C# on the .Net platform and communicates with the server side using xml and SOAP. The server side, which is called GlobalPMO, is managed by one of the original team members and if you are successful in your bid, will be required to work closely with this person in coordinating the client server communications aspects. The model we have been using that I want to continue working with is one where I have a monthly budget of $300 to spend on developing this app. The winner of this bid will be the freelancer who comes in with the most experience at the best possible hourly rate. Other traits I am looking for is someone who can code quickly and turn around new features, bug fixes etc relatively efficiently. Great communication skills are essential and the ability to work in a loose team format. I really like creative thinkers but who also can work in a disciplined and methological way. To take a look at a slightly older version of the app, you can download it at www.download.com. Go there and type in the search PersonalPMO. There is a significantly improved version coming in the next few days, however I will send that to you if you request it. The new version includes the initial code that allows syncronization with the GlobalPMO server. My initial expectations are that if you are accepted to take on this role, I will forward you the source code and give you some time to review it, understand it and comment. Once you have commented back, we can start the hourly clock. Once we have burned through the $300, the project will need to halt until the following month. I would like to make sure we have a new version each month reflecting the work done, so its important what we decide to do each month is realistic and can be coded with basic testing, compiling and then sent to me for testing. I will then test and report bugs, issues and update the following months list of objectives. It is essentail that you can commit to this project for the long term. This is going to be ongoing, we have already been working on this for over 3 years using this model so please only bid if you are able to commit those amount of hours on a monthly basis. Development work will be done in the first 15 days of each month and you are requested to treat it with high priority. Please don't hesitate to ask clarifying questions. The initial work you will be asked to do will mostly be preparing the current app for public release as well as bug fixing. From there we will work on new features.
