We have several constructions sites that use Canon network cameras to record the progress of the project. These cameras take an image every 15 minutes. On our web server there is a Canon application called VB-Collector that pulls the stored images from the camera and saves the data to a Canon specific database. Using this VB-Collector software it is possible to enter a date range and extract the images to .jpg files. Once the images are extracted from the database I want to put them in a folder and then create a flash slide show from those .jpg files. I already have the slide show working from an xml file that can point to folders/files. What I need is a web interface that is basically a form with two fields being start date and end date. When the form is submitted it will execute the extract feature in the Canon software and create a folder with the desired images. Then we can point the XML file to this folder. I know this is possible, because I know of a website that does exactly this using the same model cameras and the same Canon software. I can show you exactly what I want via a remote screensharing session. Thanks!
