ARCMAP USING THIESSEN POLYGONS AND GEOCODE THE PROJECT IS DUE APRIL 12th

THIS PROJECT IS DUE WEDNESDAY APRIL 12th This course name is locational analysis Before I started the proposal for the project the professor gave us the proposal exercise. And in that proposal exercise, when we are about to choose the topic of our project, what should be our focus before we choose. And they are as follows. 1)YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO RESEARCH A MAJOR PAPER ON A GEOGRAPHICAL PROBLEM OF YOUR CHOICE WITH IN GTA (Toronto ONLY). 2)WHAT GEOGRAPHICAL PROBLEM DO YOU PROPOSE TO ADDRESS IN YOUR PAPER? 3)HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT DOING YOUR MAJOR PAPER? 4)WHAT KEY RESEARCH QUESTIONS WOULD YOU ADDRESS? 5)WHAT WOULD YOUR STUDY AREA BE? 6)WHAT DATA WOULD YOUR REQUIRE TO ADDRESS YOUR PROBLEM? 7)WHAT TECHNIQUES/METHODS WOULD YOU USE? 8)HOW WOULD YOU USE THE LAB YOU ANTICIPATE IN ADDRESSING YOUR RESEARCH PROBLEM? 9)WHAT LIMITATIONS WOULD YOU ANTICIPATE IN ADDRESSING YOUR RESEARCH PROBLEM? 10)WHAT IS THE TITLE OF THE RESEARCH PAPER THE PAPER MAY BE EXPRESSED IN THE FORM OF A HYPOTHESIS OR A SERIES OF APPROPRIATE RESEARCH QUESTIONS. THESE WILL BE ADDRESSED THROUGH LOGICAL ARGUMENT BASED ON REASON AND THE PRESENTATION OF EVIDENCE (DATA) THAT LEADS THE READER TO A LOGICAL CONCLUSION. THE PAPER SHOULD MAKE APPROPRIATE USE OF GIS AND STATISTICAL OR ANALYTICAL PROCEDURES. THE DATA MUST BE PRESENTED IN THE FORM OF TABLES. MAPS, AND GRAPHS AND FIGURES. ALL OF THE ABOVE ELEMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE INSTRUCTOR IN THE EVALUATION OF THE PAPER. A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL OF PRESENTATION IS ESSENTIAL. THIS STANDARD REQUIRES CAREFUL ATTENTION TO WRITING AND ORGANIZATION. FORMAL DOCUMENTATION IS EXPECTED, INLCUDING FOOTNOTES OR ENDNOTES OR IN-TEXT CITATIONS, AND A BIBLIOGRAPHY. WHERE APPROPRIATE, APPENDICES MAY BE USED, BUT ESSENTIAL MATERIAL SUCH AS MAPS, CHARTS/FIGURES AND TABLES SHOULD NOT BE BURIED HERE. FOR MAPS USE ARCMAP TO GEOCODE AND USE THEISSEN POLYGONS. The project must not exceed 9 pages including maps, tables and diagrams), typed and double spaced. The paper must be an original effort, drawing on either primary data that are obtained through, for example a survey, or from unanalyzed published documents. Alternatively, if secondary sources are used, they must be combined creatively so that the author’s own opinions, rather than those of others, predominate. AND AFTER THAT WE HAVE TO GEOCODE ALL THE POSTAL CODES AND USE THEISSEN POLYGONS TO CREATE THE MAPS TO FIND ALL THE MOSQUES AND HALAL RESTUARANTS IN TORONTO. AND ALSO HE REQUIRES tables and graphs and figures for these mosques as explained earlier. PROPOSAL Topic: MUSLIM COMMUNITY IN GTA The estimate population of Muslims in GTA is around 500,000. so I will briefly touch upon the geographical problems of where halal food are located within GTA which are suitable or not suitable for people to travel that much distance to eat halal food. And also I will talk about the mosques which are located in GTA. Are they suitable for people in that area? Do they have enough space in their prayer hall to accommodate that many people in big congregations on every day basis or special congregation example Fridays and Eid celebrations, because it could posse a problem if there are large group of Muslims living in that area and there are not enough to accommodate. So they have no choice but to travel further distance to go to another mosque. So I will provide the data for all the halal restaurants and halal grocery shops with in GTA and also their distance with in each other. And I also will provide the data for all the mosques located in GTA. And also their distance with in each other.
