I need an application that we can use on desktops and servers to send files to the Amazon S3 server
We should have an installer and the ability to put our account info in the app.
We should be able to point 1 or more files to be uploaded and then begin the upload. I would like a status of the upload with upload speed and estimate time remaining.
im not sure if we should do ftp here since i think there are faster ways to transfer files. sometimes the files will be super large like 200gb and other times it will be a dir of some normal sized files
I should be able to get the url to these files to be downloaded over http. i know the S3 system does some weird things with objects but i want to be able to dl anything i upload via http url.
app doesnt need fancy ui, keep it simple and stick to normal controls.
C# ,net 2.0 should be used here
tell me the tranfer protocol you plan to use, including ports you need for this (please let me put port in the config if it is weird to help with firewalls)
after upload i need some check to be performed to make sure it was completely uploaded. i think there are some check sum or hash things that can help us here. i want to know your method here
give me time and cost for this.
last thing, in the app i should be able to browse what is on the server so i can see file system..similar to explorer but i think you can just use a tree and grid
