My preference is for it to be built in wordpress so after it’s up we can do minor updates ourselves.
The Current Site has 30 pages. An embedded youtube video on most of the pages along with a few pictures. There is a twitter api, facebook api, kijiji api, and a few google maps. Every year we publish a 80 page catalog. We also do various print advertisements and would like a place where people can go to reference this historic material. We'd like for our word press blog to be integrated in. We've got all the copy & layout instructions ready to go
I don’t mind the layout of our current site. It’s was just more the poor execution, from the guy who has been updating it for the past decade. I don’t currently like how the page’s are set up in a frame. I don’t like how the API to facebook, twitter, google maps, our blog etc are set up. I don’t like how the catalogues are a series of fuzzy JPEG images. It does nothing for SEO for us. I really don’t like how it looks like a mix up of fonts and sizes.
How much to get it built for us? Also any other changes you’d like to make i’m excited about hearing.
After we get it built usually we only get maintenance done on it once or twice a year. Usually in late December when we have a new 80 page catalogue to add and new you tube video library to embed.
