I need an "explainer video" created for my product, service and licensing venture that I am developing - to explain to potential investors in layman terms, how this works, keeping levity and humor in the video, and minimizing the "deep" technology as much as possible - while still explaining the tech semi-quickly. This venture has to do with a drone/UAV small quadcopter, same size and shape as a DJI Phantom 3, with certain pieces of technology (5 housed objects/units in total) that all work together to create what is called our "proprietary GPS Kit", all housed in a very light and small "shape", affixed to the bottom of a quadcopter drone / UAV. This drone will have a sensor on the bottom of it (if you go to velodyne's sensor website, it is the Velodyne HDL-64E model, which you can get all sizes and dimensions, specs from the website. search "velodyne lidar" in google to get the product info - again, I will get you the specs so that you can simply see the unit and all info you need - and the size, relative to the drone). Let's rewind a bit... Basically I would like the video to have the traditional "Explainer Video" cartoon animation "I have a problem. Wow! Here is the solution!" feel.. someone doing a voiceover.... In the beginning, it would show our company name, slogan and logo, then show the traditional method of laser scanning - which is a large laser scanner on a tripod (Leica's latest laser scanner/tripod model by looking online), the operator setting up targets and 'spheres' to give the scans common points to stitch each scan together in X,Y and Z, then the operator picks the scanner and tripod up and moves it every 40 feet on rough terrain and wearing a construction outfit on a hot, sunny day, calibrates and plays with the scanner a bit, then scans 360 degrees again, repeat, (make it look really exhausting and time-consuming, maybe fast motion, after two scans, then slowwwinnng down - ending that scene by zooming into a drop of sweat coming off of the guy's forehead) - then it would ask the question in text & voiceover - text is on the drop slowly falling - "what if it were easier?" "What if you could capture more than just what a terrestrial scanner could see, or its 'line of sight', and instead, capture the data of anything that you can see from the sky, or below?" then enters the quadcopter drone with the shape and size of a DJI Phantom 3, scanning well above the terrestrial tripod-based scanner and operator, who is looking up at it by shading the sun from his eyes, showing a visible red, flat laser beam scan back and forth from under the scanner, scanning the entire area, and quickly landing next to the person operating it from a controller. Basically saying to the viewer of this video - "I just scanned this entire area that you (the operator of the tripod based scanner) are still in the middle of scanning, and completed it in a fraction of the time - and its all pre-processeed". The next scene would then explain that with our product and software/app suite, "we don't even need to post-process our scan data, which traditionally takes lnger than the scans themselves! This is because of our patented, and unique set of proprietary devices that all work together, to ensure that...etc. blah blah.. Now we cut to the drone - in different, quick sequences (which act as a way of showing the viewer the industries and sectors that this technology serves) - we would show it moving around the sky, scanning the ground/topography/mountains beneath it, then show it flying around & scanning non-finished building construction projects and construction sites, then the same thing with cell, data and comm towers (being sure to focus on the assets at the top of these towers, highlighting the fact that you are removing the need for a human climber to audit these assets - -maybe by showing a serviceman climbing the tower, then slowly disappear as the drone comes in and scans it?) then the same with rooftop units, then farm and crops, then energy utilities, power lines, pipelines for the city, waste water treatment plants, manufacturing plants, land surveying, windmills, the statue of liberty, great wall of china for monument preservation, crime scenes for CSI scene capture, etc.- - - and receiving the data back as something called "point clouds", in real-time, which I would provide samples of that if you need it, to be used for a variety of reasons that I will tell you as it gets close to you needing it. The next scene - It would take each of the 5 units/devices - now all semi-detailed and labeled, all shown on the same screen, taking up the screen, and then each device/unit, one at a time, would move toward the drone - getting smaller and smaller on their way there, and into the now semi-transparent housing underneath the drone - animating each device of 5 - of which I would get you the images of what each of these devices look like and the size - then the housing is now opaque, and largens to the center of the screen. Next and last scene, by animation and voiceover - is the business model aspect of how we would license these to the customers, the software, provide training and support. I imagine these business unit-type explanation animations as a young man handing over a drone kit to a semi-fat, happy client in a suit and tie with a dollar sign in a thought-bubble-cloud - while my guy's mouth is moving (like he is explaining), and then he hands over the software (a simple, white box with our logo on the front side) handed to him as he is sitting at a computer, and then a different young guy from my company in a board/training room setting, pointing to a projector screen with illegible bullet points, with a pointer, training the client's team who are all seated - and then finally we somehow show the support aspect... A lot of this is up to you to deviate or add/subtract, and I wanted to give you the whole idea of how this works and what I originally want so that you can express your creative freedom. I want the whole video to be about 2 minutes long or less.
