Hello,
I’m looking for a replacement to join our team of two (me and one programmer) and make it 3 again. The second programmer that left did so out of personal reasons and he couldn’t return in a reasonable timeframe for us to wait on him. He has done a good job so far and it’s up to you to pick up where he left and finish his Data Importer Module and also the Automation Module. Both are different modules but are connected.
All in all I expect you to have around 2 weeks of work for both tasks combined. Below you can read the information on the Automation. Basically you can choose to finish module 3 and 4, or if you have something laying around that is completed/done already, I’m open to using that one as well. In that case you could earn some quick money here, as you would only have to implement the signals being pushed to the Automation.
First off, you need to:
1. Be reliable, trustworthy and discrete.
2. Have a positive attitude. If you see a problem, you come up with a solution.
3. Have experience with Interactive Brokers API and trading in general
4. Be a clean and smart coder (object oriented). Experienced in C++11, Qt Framework, Linux.
5. Be hard (and smart) working. No slacking or “easy money attitude”
6. Speak English fluently and communicate frequently. We use Google Hangouts to communicate directly and fast, sometimes even via webcam if needed.
7. Be available, and on time. Meaning you respect deadlines and you show up on time
In total our project has 4 modules:
1. Signal Generator module (taken care of)
2. IB API Module (taken care of)
3. IB Data Importer (85% done, to be completed by you)
4. IB Automation / Signal Execution (to be completed by you)
So, your task consists out of two things:
1. Finish the IB Data Importer module (module 3, 85% done)
2. Finish the IB Automation module (module 4).
When our cooperation is a success, you will the potential for more future tasks linked to this project.
More relevant/technical info is obviously available and will be provided, once I think you're a serious candidate.
