Banquet Marketing for a Sports Fan Club

We are a small non-profit Cleveland Browns fan club based in Rochester, NY. We are having our annual banquet on April 20th. Because this is the dominant marketing area for the Buffalo Bills, it is virtually impossible for us to get noticed, much less get any kind of decent media coverage. We regularly send our Press Releases to the local media, but nothing ever gets published. For us non-professionals, this seems to be an insurmountable task. Perhaps one of you professionals out there might have some intriguing ideas to get the wo4d out! Partial proceeds of this banquet go to support the Golisano Children's Hospital NICU.
