Calendar Script Modification

I have a very basic event calendar script (well a couple scrpts that work together actually) in PHP with MySQL backend. In the admin interface a user puts a start date and the start/end times are optional. There is a description and event title. They can also upload a document for supporting info (like a PDF about the event). It all fits in one table on the database. I want to add the ability to schedule an event spanning multiple days (ex: start on June 3 and end June 5) with error checking that end date not before start date. If it is a multi-day event, the start time and end time are not used. I also want the ability to add a repeating event (ex: every Monday until January 1, 2008). In the repeating event, these can be individual entries and do not have to be linked to each other...in other words, once added, these are edited separately. The display interface is very simple. It shows upcoming events (3 or 5 or however many I choose) with date and (if available) time and when event title is clicked on it takes us to the event summary page with full description and document link (if available). Should be complete within a week or less if possible. I am more concerned to keep cost down than have the finished product quickly. You will have access to FTP to a test setup (not a live installation of the calendar). You will not have direct access to the MySQL database, however I can add whatever fields you need to the table (i will provide database structure). I will continue to hold the exclusive rights to the application. You will not have any publicly displayed recognition of your additions (but feel free to put your name in comments in the code if you want). You may feel free to rewrite the code i provide in any way necessary, and may choose to combine the add and edit scripts into one if that is better for you.
