We are a small commercial (shrinkwrap) software company and looking for someone to do some web (aspx) programming). This is a "starter task". If it's completed to our our satisfaction we will likely have additional, larger, work (projects) in the future. A. Upgrade page from .asp to .aspx B. Convert from a POST to a GET. C. Add a new "check box" question and update the conditional logic in the page (so that it displays the appropriate program descriptions based on checking that box. D. Testing Report results to confirm it's working properly. ** Expectations** We write professional quality software and expect (and are willing to pay for) the same from you. We expect it to work properly and be properly tested and expect you to read the entire spec. Please confirm that you have at least read full description by noting in your bid/reply "Yes, I read the entire summary". If anything is unclear, let us know immediately and we'll clear it up. Clear communication can be a challeng, I know. **Update** (April 4, 2012) : The original files are located at: [login to view URL] ## Deliverables # Background The two pages involved in this project are for helping our customers choose which programs are appropriate for them (or for the patient who needs speech therapy) How the pages work: User checks boxes for "speech language difficulties": on<file:///C:/Webs/bungalow/[login to view URL]> which gets submitted as a form to: <file:///C:/Webs/bungalow/[login to view URL]> (these files and a copy of this Detailed Requirement in MS Word (.doc) are attached as a zip file. # Deliverables 1. Test results before you start coding 2. Test results after you finish coding 3. Finished source code. # Tasks It is important that you **read** this **entire** document before making your quote. ## A. Upgrade page from .asp to .aspx Upgrade the page (/[login to view URL] ) from asp to .aspx And remember to update the page that *calls* the above page so that It's calling the renamed file ([login to view URL]) ## B. Convert from a POST to a GET. The only reason we want to do this is so that the resulting URL could be copied and shared with someone else. USE CASE: Tina the Therapist is looking for programs for Paul the Patient. She checks off the appropriate boxes and looks at the result. She then wants to forward that on to Paul. With a GET we should (it is my understanding) be able to then copy the URL, Email it to Paul, and he can open that and look at the [login to view URL] page. Please *confirm* this is correct (or let me know if this is incorrect) in your application for this "job". That way we know you read the whole specification. You an increase the chances you'll be chosen for this project by providing the sample spreadsheet mentioned in the testing section. (You only need to provide enough of the spreadsheet to demonstrate that you understand the instructions for "building" that spreadsheet) ## C. Add a new "check box" question: 1. Text: **Word-retrieval (speech) at sentence level - Aphasia** Difficulty speaking in complete sentences or phrases. 2. If this is checked then we want to display these two URLS: i. SentenceShaper (which we abbreviate as SSR): [[login to view URL]][1] ii. Sights'n Sounds 2 (abbreviated SNS2) [[login to view URL]][2] 1. Please try to use the current coding convention (I think that we have variables(flags, set =true/false) for controlling which programs we display. Use that same approach. Testing 1. Report all of these results in a table. (with rows for each "checkbox" and for each test condition and columns for each program name that is displayed. 2. Also make sure you test : we should be able to copy the URL that is generated to call the [login to view URL] The ***full testing** example table is included in the MS Word (.doc) file included in the zip file.*
