Browser specific issue with my website: My web pages display the way I want in firefox, chrome, safari, opera, and epiphany browsers. My machines are windows xp so I do not have access to internet explorer 9, athough I suspect that would have the same graphics issues I am having with ie8. In internet explorer 8, there are these issues: Home page and all other web pages in the root folder - 1) The horizontal navigation bar at the top is shifted about 80 pixels to the right, although contents are displayed and my gradients and site footer are working. 2) The javascript drop down menus are fragmented to to spacing issues. additionally, my web forms, the form fields and action buttons are way oversized. They use a common site navigation include file and common css and javascript. I didn't want to post the URLS here because this site, I don't know what's visible to everybody forever. But the URLS are in a text file that I hope to upload with the project. Otherwise, if the project listing sequence doesn't allow me to upload that page, I have it for you upon request. These problems have arisen before and I fixed them temporarily, although I don't remember how. But they re-surfaced for no apparant reason. So perhaps something in my css is not right. I used trial and error type methods to get the css to do what I wanted because I am don't do enough web design to be well versed in the advanced and fine points of css. Aparantly, the browsers other than ie are tolerant of whatever I am not doing right. I would appreciate if somebody who is skilled with web page design and layout and with css could go to the source code on those pages and back navigate the css and propose a fix for the explorer issues mentioned. BUT PLEASE maintain all of my functionality in all those other browsers. I like my sight design graphics as they are and don't want to loose the look or the gradients or the menu function or anything. Could I please have an estimate of what you think this might cost?
