CRE Deposit Module

I sell guitars and guitar parts from one website ([[login to view URL]][1]). For guitars, I would like to have it set up so the buyer can pay a 25% deposit when ordering a guitar, and the balance upon completion. I do not want this "module" to be available to buyers of parts, where full payment is required. Available guitars for order should be visible to the world. Once someone places a deposit, it should no longer be visible (or, better, marked as "On Hold"), but only the buyer should be able to get it back into a shopping cart when it is finished and ready for the balance of the payment. There is an oscommerce contribution for deposits that is easily adaptable to CRE Loaded (I have 6.4.1a B2B), but it makes deposits available for everything on the site - not good for me.
