Boost 1_34_1, VC2005, debug regex

I have a piece of VC++ which uses Boost 1_34_1 regex commands. Due to a change in the target HTML I had to change the regexs. One of the new regexs (below) works fine with .NET programs and checks out in a Regex checking program but causes the Regex Split command to hang the program. The regex is: (?:[\s\S]*?)href=\"http:\/\/[login to view URL]\/([^\"]*)\" It is used to parse the Yahoo ID from Yahoo groups messages. It does what it is supposed to do but causes the program to hang. I think this is a problem relating to Boost 1_34_1. I need a regex to parse the Yahoo IS from Yahoo group messages that does not hang Boost 1_34_1 commands. Or another solution. I am open to suggestions.
