Adding a user comment section to social network in php

We are looking to add a user comment attribute when another user posts a "status update." This should not be difficult for a seasoned programmer and although you can suggest how long the project will take, we understand it should not be too complicated. Compare this project exactly to Facebook comment system, except in our format. We already have a status update system in place, so that does not need to be created, and must be integrated with current system. We have a completely working and functional website and the programmer must conform to our format. The winning bidder will do the following things: Program the functions necessary to make the new section work completely. One user will be able to post a comment on another users profile. When a user posts a new status update, another user will be able to comment on that status. You must know how to use MySQL and create the necessary tables to go along with the database and added relationships. This is a very cut and dry project, the winning bidder must make these features completely working and live, no loose ends allowed. In summary the project MUST do this: A user displays a status message, another user will be able to comment on that status message. Also, any user will be able to place a comment on another users profile, and any user will be able to comment on that as well. This must be hand coded no 3rd party software will be used.
