Bar Code Integration in Magento Website

There would be following functionality in the bar code based inventory management. 1. Whenever there is new stock comes to the warehouse then following steps would happen a. User will select the new product interface (update inventory) from the system (new bar code based inventory management system) [login to view URL] will read the bar code of the product. c. If this product already exist in the database then system will open the product page with focus on the "number of inventory" page or field. Now user will update the number of inventory and click save. The product is updated with the new number of inventory. d. If this product does not exist in the database then system will throw a page from where user can enter this product in the system with complete details and save it. 2. When any order is being prepared for dispatch. then following steps would happen a. There would be a page in the system where all the order number are being displayed (with sorting by date in descending order) . there would be a search order feature too. using which user can search any specific order number. b. User will click on any specific order. Order detail page would appear and complete order would be displayed with all the items and quantity. c. User will read the product and fetch the same from the warehouse and scan their bar codes. if quantity of any item is more than 1 then user has to scan the item more than one time. d. If any product is not part of the order and user has scanned the same then system will prompt that it is not part of the order and can not be dispatch for this order. e. So as user is scanning the items would get adding in the invoice. once all item are scanned which are part of the order then user can print the invoice from the same interface. f. Our all courier partner would share the bulk of POD numbers with us, which we should be able to update in the [login to view URL] we should be able to configure the rates of the courier company in the system. Based on the pin code number and weight of the products, system should be able to decide which courier company to be used for this specific order. g. When system generates the invoice it would have all the product details and pin code detail of the customer, So based on the logic define in the point "f" system will decide the courier partner using which this order would be dispatched. System will display the same to the user (like a message that this order would be shipped using xyz courier) then user has to click ok to print invoice. But user can also change the courier company if wish to. h. Invoice gets printed and order status become "send to dispatch" i. Once order is delivered then from the order detail page (described in the point "b") user will update the order status as "delivered" and on this action a PDF of invoice would be mailed to the customer. 3. When any product comes back for return or refund. a. user will click the order number from the order display screen. b there would be a link "Refund/Return",. user will click the same link and lands on a page where he would select the whether it is a return or refund. and then select a product which is either returned or refund and scan the product. c. On scanning the system will validate if the product was part of the order and if not will prompt to the user. d. If it is part of the product then user will say save and inventory would be updated by 1 for that specific product. plus order status would become "Received for Refund/Return" "Do let me know if you have any queries."
