Overview In order for our sales team to demonstrate our web-based products, there is a need for a demonstration system. The demonstration system will demonstrate a typical web based shopping experience. A primary objective of the system is to allow the sales team to configure the demonstration to align the behaviour, look and feel of the demonstration to the same branding of the prospective customer’s web site. This objective introduces atypical requirements of a standard browse/purchase shopping experience. A key point in that multiple demonstrations must be able to co-exist within the same web application at the same time. To be totally clear, this means that if two Demonstrators are presenting separate Demonstrations at the same time to different companies, each Demonstration would contain offers specific to the Demonstration, would have a look and feel specific to the Demonstration and would exhibit behaviour characteristics specific to the Demonstration (via configuration). Therefore it is likely that the ‘primary key’ of the design would always be the demonstration identifier. This demonstration application will be the showcase for our products and therefore it must have a compelling professional web User Interface. The requirements of this document mainly concentrates upon the function of the site, however it is also a requirement that the demonstration has a user experience at least as good as the reference Look and Feel in appendix 2.
