Customize an existing WordPress Plugin: Social Hashtags

We need to customize the wordpress plugin, Social Hashtags ([login to view URL]) to allow us to theme it. We have installed and configured the plugin. It currently pulls posts from instagram into a “social posts” section of the wordpress dashboard. We are able to display the posts but we need someone to show us / write the code that will allow us to display these posts in a theme and have the twitter API updated to OAuth. Our end goal is something similar to Station to Stations’ blogroll: [login to view URL] -- What is happening: We have installed Social Hashtags [login to view URL] on a test site [login to view URL] On the dashboard of the test site we are able to access and edit the title, text, image and date of the social post and display all of them on the front end of the wordpress on a single page here: [login to view URL] However, there is little control over the page i.e. we cannot change the title of the page and are unclear on how the posts get to that page in particular. There is little documentation on to do anything more on the social hashtags support page [login to view URL] or installation page [login to view URL] This is the back-and-forth I had with the developer who created social hashtags who helped with the installation of it: [login to view URL] be sure to change permalinks to postname in the settings. Social Hashtags does not work with the current version of Twitter’s API which includes OAuth: [login to view URL] On the Social Hashtags support section the authors noted that they just need to update social hashtags to work with the new twitter API but have not yet done so. What we NEED: Social Hashtags to be updated for twitter/OAuth (Note: again, the current version of social hashtags does not support the new twitter API) To be able to display the social posts in a blog roll format, such that we can theme them. This would include being able to theme: image post text author date social platform We are looking for someone to tweak the code so that we can theme the social posts. This could be as simple as identifying where in the plugin the styling happens, or it could involve extracting the styling to a separate theme file. We don't know. All of the resources are public, so you can work on this on your own test site
