Design and implement a small website including a game in Macromedia Director for publication on the World Wide Web. The game should allow the user to ‘target’ moving sprites which should appear and disappear at random intervals on the Stage. The user may use either the mouse or keyboard controls to hit the sprites. The object of the game is to hit as many of the objects as possible with points awarded for each hit. You should record the users name, number of hits and total score. The subject and content of the website is a matter of your own choice. However, it should be emphasised that, it is the development of the game and not the site that is most important in this assignment and hence this is where the majority of your effort should be placed. An example of the game may be viewed on : [login to view URL] Note: this example is for illustrative purposes only. You should use your own colours, objects, characters, scoring system, sounds etc… In this assignment you are expected to produce: 1. an appropriate design for the website and game 2. details of all multimedia resources, both original work and any non-original material used or adapted for use together with the justification for using them. 3. an implementation of the design N.B. Marks are given for original work. This means that any non-original material (i.e. media) used must be clearly marked as such with the name of the source. No extra marks will be awarded for material copied from other sources unless it has been significantly adapted to suit the particular context. **All code submitted must be your own original work (i.e. not modified or adapted from elsewhere) and must be commented.** ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform windows, and internet explorer The package should be developed to run on a machine with a **screen resolution of 800 by 600** with small fonts.
