AJAX - Reorder lists without refreshing the page

I have a feature on my movies site which allows users to create lists of content based on whatever they'd like: ie, "My favorite movies", "Best horror films", etc. After creating a list, they can add movies to it, reorder it, etc. Currently, the "edit list" page is displayed as such: up arrow | down arrow | movie title (see attached screenshot to get a better idea) This is pretty self-explanatory: you click the up arrow to move the item up one spot in the list and you click the down arrow to move it down one spot in the list. The core code for this is complete: all of the queries that need to be run when a user clicks one of these icons is in place and works perfectly. What I need from you is an AJAX solution that does this without refreshing the page. Example: You're looking at this list: up arrow | down arrow | Movie #1 up arrow | down arrow | Movie #2 up arrow | down arrow | Movie #3 You click the up arrow on Movie #2. The MySQL queries run behind the scenes, and without refreshing the entire page, you now see this: up arrow | down arrow | Movie #2 up arrow | down arrow | Movie #1 up arrow | down arrow | Movie #3 Again, all of the core code for this is complete, it just needs to be fancied up a bit ;) Source code will be provided, of course, and I can also send enough files for you to set up a local version of the site for testing on your own server if you wish. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform PHP 4.4.2 MySQL 4.1.22 You will also need the current version of PEAR ([login to view URL]) and a few modules for it if you'd like to setup a local site for your own development purposes.
