Add time stamp to C++ application

I am looking to add a time stamp to one of my C++ applications to help look for areas where latency can be improved. The application is fairly simple in operation and basically sends and recieves a few hundred packets of data per minute and carries out a couple of tasks depending on the results. The time stamp needs to be in miliseconds (ie 0.001 seconds) and log the times of each operation. It will also need to number the send and receive requests so they can be matched up. The timer needs to be as accurate as possible even if this slows the application down slightly. The timer is to be added to a copy of the application and will only be used when running tests I have a timer at present but it is proving to be fairly unstable so this can either be improved on or a complete new time stamp added ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
