I have successfully set up a LAMP instance on AWS. The PHP based site is successfully connecting to the MYSQL RDS and all is working. However, I'm concerned about what happens when the instance fails - I need you to tell me: - What happens to the contents of /www when the instance fails? - How can we set it up so that in case of failure, we can simply reboot or restore with minimum intervention? - And finally, just a quick check over the configuration to reassure me that all is set up correctly. This is a very quick "project" and shouldn't take more than an hour or two. Thank

Hi There're a lot of metrics to configure when it comes to configuring an instance when it fails. Rebooting an instance isn't an option as it'll result in a downtime, AWS provides an alternative for doing that. Moreover I can also look over all your components to make sure that it's setup accordingly FYI all components of AWS are ephemeral so you need to make sure that all of those are setup in a failover manner.
