what i need to do is create an IP Socket server. this server needs to handle several thousand concurrent connections, run on Weblogic 10.0 and implement its own proprietary transmission and receive protocol. because of the load this system needs to handle, thread managment and memory management become serious issues. these are all issues weblogic has solved to implement its socket system, and im trying to figure out a way to utilize that. ive tried several different ways to implement this on weblogic but every time i get close, HTTP gets in the way. i need a way where i can simply take the traffic coming in from a socket and dump the raw data stream directly to a class that i write without interference from any other piece of weblogic.
i need a master weblogic developer/architect to tell me how to do this and hopefully point me to a paper i missed on their website, or an example that they have, or something to point me in the right direction to get this fully implemented and running soon.
