PROJECT DETAILS The diagnostic scanner that we use to plug into the car will give us fault codes and fault code descriptions. Each fault code/description will require a different course of action to resolve the issue which can take a mechanic sometimes hours to figure out. I want Mechanics to be able to look up fault codes and find easy solutions using my website with fault code searches. Making it as simple as possible; I want to have a 3 pull down menus where the mechanic chooses YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, then there needs to be 2 search bars where you enter in the fault code (off the diagnostic scan tool) then you enter the fault code description that correlates with the fault code (off the diagnostic scan tool). This then will bring up the solutions/repairs page from other mechanics. On this page you will have an opportunity to add a repair. This will also build the database. I will take the time to enter in a lot of the fault codes with solutions. On the home page next to the pull down tabs I want a box where mechanics can add problem cars. after clicking on the car this will give other mechanics on the site a chance to help come up with repairs/solutions to help the other mechanic. I would like this to be some sort of forum layout. Last, I would like a spot on the home page where shops can post job opportunities

I will make it in 4 pages, Home, Solutions, Problems and Jobs. In the Home page you will have the 3 pulldowns, the 2 search bars, a side bar with links to the problem cars, and another side bar with the job opportunities. In the Solutions page you will have the previously posted solutions to the problem and a button to add a new solution. The new solution will be in a step by step format, with the possibility to add a video solution, in a video hosted on your page, not youtube or anything. In the Problem page, users will post posible solutions and the person who posted the problem will be able to mark a proposed solution as a the answer to the problem. The Jobs page will be a page with descriptions and contact information for the posted jobs. I'll use Twitter Bootstrap, JS, and PHP/MySQL or ASP.NET/Microsoft SQL server.
