About Us • Life Response 24/7 (PTY) LTD is a Private Ambulance Service offering 24 hour Emergency Medical Care greater eThekweni community and its Hospitals. • Our company has been established as we monitored and witnessed a define Lack of Emergency Medical Services in our area of operation coupled with the fact that Private Health Care is inaccessible to so many South Africans. • Based on the hardship faced by the communities we aim to strive in providing the best possible care with the most effective response times offering professional and affordable medical assistance to the community. • Life Response 24/7 was launched in 2014 with a current fleet of 2 ambulances and an Advanced Life Support Response Vehicle providing full coverage from Basic Life Support up to Intensive care of the critically ill and injured patients ranging from New Born babies to Adults. • Our aim is to reach most of the members of the community providing an excellent standard of care to all private and none private patients. Levels of Care • Basic Ambulance Attendant- This is the minimum qualification to be a crew member of an ambulance rendering service to patients who can walk/talk in a fully conscious state requiring medical attention, with skills including (CPR and First Aid), emergency medical and trauma care, the use of ambulance equipment including Automatic External Defibrillators (AED). • Intermediate Life Support- this level is usually reserved for patients who are in a semi- critical state but stable condition which results from chronic medical conditions to trauma care for patients involved in accidents with the following skills available- IV therapy, needle Thoracocentesis, 12 lead Electrocardiogram interpretations, manual external defibrillation and the administration of various drugs. • ECP – Advanced Life Support Paramedic- Emergency Care Practitioner with the highest pre hospital skills in the field working with critically unstable patients from the pre hospital environment to Intensive care in hospital treatment.
