AS3 Retro CRT effect and Flixel Library

Howdy, I've been looking at this sweet tutorial for creating a "television" effect class: [login to view URL] You can pass in a Sprite which serves as the source for the effect. I was curious if this could be implemented for use with the as3 game library Flixel; see this link on the Flixel Display List [login to view URL] The way I envision using this, I would like to essentially to have this TV effect "sit on top" or be kind of like a "post-process" effect that takes in main flixel display object/Sprite (if that makes any sense, I'm sure the technical details are off but I'm trying to imagine how to describe it). Like flixel would operate normally but after the screen is rendered it the TV effect would be applied. I kind of have an idea of how to go about it but I'm not a coder.
