I have an excel list of products with weights. I would like to setup a simple API call to UPS to get package and freight rates based on the origin and destination zip codes. I have a UPS account and I have the API access key from UPS. I would like (2) Excel 'sheets' provided: -The first sheet should have a single cell that we can provide a DESTINATION zip code, and then a link to see rates for FREIGHT and PACKAGE service, listing the shipping options such as next day air, 2nd day air, ground, etc.. -The second 'sheet' should have two cells, an ORIGIN and DESTINATION zip code field, and then a link to see rates for FREIGHT and PACKAGE service, listing the shipping options such as next day air, 2nd day air, ground, etc.. Hi, I've entered a bid here based on what I think your project entails (you mentioned the API, but then in the next sentence you talk about a link, so I'm not sure which of these two you need - link building is fairly straightforward. So is using an API, but you'd need to script that.. ) Do you have some information I could look at regarding the API you intend to use to return prices? Or if you could message me here and let me know where I can get the documentation that would be great. Thanks a lot, John ps: Do you absolutely require Excel for this? or is any solution acceptable?

Hello Ctrldata I am an Excel VBA specialist. I've successfully completed many projects on the site, a large proportion of them being VBA, and have a 4.9 out of 5 rating. I've delivered similar projects accessing the APIs of Google Maps, Insightly and others. Having not used the UPS API before, there may be a bit of learning curve, as their Developers' Kit doesn't include VBA support and I will need to extract info and convert from the samples that they do provide. You should use XML Request method as UPS has a complex API call and VBA/Macro of Excel has no standard/built-in library for this kind of API call. It could be easier if you agree in using Excel addon method so I could write a new addon which can be called from your excel code in easy way. This addon then will handle the UPS request and response as well. Let me know which one you prefer?
