Hello, I am looking for an embedded system designer experienced with PIC programation. The program will have one user interface (most likely an I2C bus with a capacitive sensor), and one thermahl sensor (a thermocouple connected by SPI bus, MAX31855). The µcontroller will have to control by PWM (freq around 50kHz) a mosfet through a gate driver. The µcontroller will integrate a fuzzy logic controller. The programmer will first select the right PIC. Then the programmation of the µcontroller shall start according to the description above. The schematics will be provided. Do no hesitate if you have further questions.

Hello. I propose to approach the project in the following way: - use SDCC (the Small Device C Compiler) for compilation (I will consider one of the xc compilers if you really need it), - the CodeBlocks IDE for development (although I will consider MPLAB X if you really need it), and - if simulation is needed at some stage - gpsim (It may not be). I may also do some SPICE testing / simulation if appropriate - and can provide the relevant SPICE files if required. I would need the following before starting or accepting the project: - the schematics as soon as possible, - a clear explanation of the intended user interface, and - a description of how much work has already been done on designing the fuzzy logic controller, as well as an indication of whether or not this has to be designed from scratch or merely implemented in code. I do all of my development on Linux - and prefer to use open-source tools wherever possible (such as SDCC, etc.). This helps me to keep my - and your - costs down by avoiding licensing fees. If you require that one of Microchip's compilers - e.g. xc8 - is used, then please make that clear at the outset. (There is a small possibility it would affect my bid price.)

Hi, Thank you for posting such an interesting job here in freelancer. I would be please to offer my work in this regard as I have been working on PIC MCU for years. Please share some more details so that I can assist you in getting the right parts chosen for this purpose. I have more than 20 years of programming skills so the developed code will certainly run flawlessly and efficiently. Lets have some more discussion to proceed further. Timeline mentioned here is just based on the assumption of the work load, but will be fast enough depending on other logic behind the screen. Thank you very much and I look forward to hear from you. Regards... Roy

Hello friend, I'm sure I am qualified to accomplish the tasks you propose. I am electrical engineer and have a wide experience in PIC programming, I have worked with SPI to acquire data from a compass and other devices as the thermocouple , also with I2C for different devices as RTC, memories, connection with other micro controller circuits, accelerometer, gyroscope among others. I have used PWM to control servomotors and DC motors with drivers. Also, I have worked with PIC16, PIC18 and PIC30, for this project I would select a ucontroller from PIC18 family. Even though I'm relatively new in this site I have several years of experience as researcher and lecturer of electrical engineering. I have worked with PICs for more than 10 years now. Finally, I'm a responsible person and every project I take up is because I'm sure I can accomplish it. I look forward to work with you. Best regards, MSc. Andry Contreras

Hi. Very interesting project. I congratulate you on your initiative. First, for choosing our PIC we must consider that this provided a port for I2C (for user interface), another SPI port (for the temperature sensor using a MAX31855), and an output pin with PWM (for temperature control .... i do not know what type of actuator is used, maybe a heater ?? ... please let me know). With regard to the fuzzy logic, it is necessary to know the temperature range and type of application that will be used this control ..... this is for design the "fuzzification". Other questions: What kind of capacitive interface do you want to use? A single or multi-channel? Will the code for PIC control only temperature ? I would like to know more details please. Thanks Regards Pardo Darwin
