Design a Website Mockup for a deceased Academic in political sciences, including ebook library

I am creating a website for a deceased Professor of Political Sciences and Political Theories. I have digitized his 17 books and have them in PDF format (some written in German and some in Greek). The main deliverables of this project are: 1) identify for inspiration 5-10 equivalent websites of major deceased academics in Political Sciences/Theories/History, of international recognition , 2) Design the mockup of a website that aside from the usual features (that will be highlighted from the first deliverable), allows online access to researchers and historians to the ebooks (and somehow getting basic details before allowing access, to keep a record of interested people for future updates, news, etc.). I will create the website myself, so I am not looking for any sleek-looking mockup (could as well be a photo of a paper towel). It is the site skeleton / content placement and the substance that matters, as the main interested visitors are international academics, students, historians and journalists.
