I am a software engineer using C/C++. I know time and professionalism are the most important factors for you to learn through the right way. My experience in C is based mainly on acm codes which depends on the code manipulation to get the right result in the least time and most code efficiency . My main point for learning C language is the ability to understand the back end meaning of your code and how the compiler deals with the code.
