I am an architect and engaged my self in various types of Designing and Drafting work. The main software I use for design in Auto CAD and Revit Architecture. The attached example is made from Revit Architecture, to which I am very much familiar and this software is very fast to build any model. And the advantage is once you make the model can take as many snap as you need for from different angle without any time spend. And in blow up section represents the construction details that I usually do. Usually the specification is suggested by MY client and more often they also provide ME rough sketches according to design requirements.
