I am looking for assistance in completing my dissertation. The job consists of two steps, which must be completed in order. Step 1: Revise My Published Law Review Article to Conform with Journal of Finance Formatting/Editing/Style/Referencing Requirements I am the sole author of a paper (approx. 27,244 words) that was published in a law journal. Such articles must conform to Blue Book standards, including a unique footnoting and referencing style. I need the paper converted to a format that conforms to that used in articles published by the Journal of Finance. A style sheet will be provided. There are no copyright concerns: I have permission to proceed in this regard. Some editing/rewriting will naturally be required, as material will have to be moved from footnotes into the body of the paper and a references page. Concomitant additions/deletions will also have to be made to insure that the material continues to flow/transition well, so the number of words may change. Step 2: formatting assistance only (no editing, writing, proofreading, etc.) The work is to be completed in Microsoft Word using an existing Microsoft Word template. The number of pages (approximately 100) is large and the task is most certainly "tedious," but it is not difficult because: (1) the template is already created; (2) detailed instructions, including samples, will be provided; (3) I am available to give immediate feedback and/or answer questions; and (4) all items are already completed (all that remains is the "assembly."). Familiarity with Microsoft Word (2010 or, preferably, 2013) and Microsoft Word templates/styles will be of enormous benefit. I have detailed instructions, including formatting specifications and samples, available for your review. The instructions for using the template will be provided to the selected party. I will separately complete the individual components of the front matter and the back matter. I just need someone to make sure that the component parts, individually and collectively, satisfy the stated formatting requirements for a Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Iowa. In this second step, I literally do not want one word, one punctuation mark, etc. changed except to the extent that this is required to satisfy the formatting requirements. I would not expect that you would have to actually read much of any of the material provided. The process is entirely "mechanical" in this sense. Furthermore, the University provides a Microsoft Word template (and instructions for its use) to simplify matters and make this process that much more "automated." If this project interests you, please provide me with information about your experience with the two newest versions of Microsoft Word (especially, any relevant experience with templates), with work on theses and dissertations, and your general comfort with the formatting process (as opposed to writing, editing, etc.). Please note that this is a hard deadline and no deviation from it is acceptable. I will select a freelancer by 7:00 pm EST today (Friday, March 21, 2014), Step 1 must be satisfactorily completed and returned to me by 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, March 23, 2014. The entire project (both Steps 1 and 2) must be satisfactorily completed and returned to me by 7 pm EST on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
