Attached code (a Borland C++ Builder 2009 project) has always worked perfectly on Windows XP and VISTA. It stopped working on Windows 7, 8. There are no errors nor other negative effects, the splash windows simply doesn't show anymore. Something changed so that Windows' function: "UpdateLayeredWindow" doesn't work the same anymore on Windows 7 or later. I assume the fix is simple for somebody who knows this stuff.
