I currently have a page that has search box and as the user types, i'd like to make an ajax call to a page which will start to filter results from a table and display them in the page using the list feature from jquery mobile. As the user continues to type the results filter even more. The page CAN NOT load all the results at one time and then filter due to the recordset size of 5000+. I have updated the page to include a combo box with vaules that I would like a user to select from, then click a button to execute a stored procedure and refresh the data/result set. So far I cannot get the ASP to rerun the query, although I can get the reurned result. Currently, the combo lists 12 months from NOW. eg, you will see a list with June 2010 July 2010 .... May 2011 Selecting May will return a value of 5 that would be passed to stored proc and refresh the data and page. Have ASP Classic page - 2 drop down boxes - using database data to dynamically fill each - first box is filled from table A - then when the user selects a value - we need a 'On Change' event to complete a new recordset based on the value of the selection made WITHOUT rebuilding the page - and filling the recordset records into the second drop down box at that time. I have a car classified ad site that I recently added model listings to the car detail pages. My problem is if the car model is more than one word the model listings are not showing. It needs to fast, within 3 seconds to generate a result with 3-5 simultaneous users. It needs to be secure so others can't hack into the database.
