I have several example Excel workbooks that I need converted into Perl Excel::Template compatible templates. The supplied templates need to preserve the formatting of the original files. This initial project is for a single template. If I am satisfied with the results than I will have several more that need to be created within the next week and probably more in the future. Each of these templates will be used to generate reports on data that is being pulled from a MySQL database. It should be obvious from the attached spreadsheet, but just to be clear, the pretend data starting at A6 and going through A32 should be represented by a loop in the template. Please let me know if you have any questions.

14 lines Perl code needs very detailed commenting as well as what overall function is of the file. The code is from an opensource firewall app where/which i *suspect* that the file has been tampered with (or the code should not have been there) in order to make 3rd party hacker get VPN connection automatillcay thru the firewall installation. Your job is to comment the 14 lines of Perl code much more throroughly and answer the questions very detailed in order for to get a very deep understanding of that file and its purpose and actions. There is already comments for every 1-2 lines of code. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE: 1. I want to get these 14 lines of Perl code commented again and more detailed since it is my impression that extra code has been inserted int...

I want to build a Perl script to identify the "script" that a particular UTF-8 string is written on. For example, given the strings: دجنبر --> Arabic децембар --> Cyrillic João --> Latin נאָװעמבער --> Hebrew กันยายน --> Thai цембJair --> Mixed by looking at the "Script" property of each character and checking if they all belong to the same script and in this case report the name. If the string is a mix of two scripts then it should return "Mixed". The best way to get there would be to use the program "uniname" and echoing the string into it echo กันยายน | uniname -b -g -c -e -r -u -n and then process the output: range Thai Thai Thai Thai Thai Thai Thai Basi...

We are looking to hire somebody with image manipulation experience to read a barcode or read OCR characters from a large image file. The barcode reads an 8 digit number which is also printed on each image. Code must run on a linux system, preferably perl or php. Subroutine must input an image file and output the 8 digit number. Must be able to output numbers from at least 50% of the images input and the number accuracy must 90%+. I have played around with this and have achieved only about 10% accuracy using the open source OCR tesseract. Building a better font for the OCR system may help. I was unable to get any of the online barcode readers to read the small barcode, but the barcode does contain the same numbers. Sample image:

We have a number of travel websites that are currently using a Perl script to deliver results to users. It's getting increasingly difficult to get Perl supported so we'd like to move the search side of things to PHP. Copies of our current Perl scripts will be available if required - they will probably be useful for some of the logic involved. The sites are live so the main development will need to take place on your own machine. Please do not bid if you are not able to do this. The main functions of the script are as follows: • Update a mySQL database using data that we upload in a data file plus other data from a comma separated file. Hey so basically i'm working on IRC client for a friend I created the host client with Unreal IRC. I need the security services configured and built. The service took me less than a hour to build and I imagine if you know any Perl or python or even familiar with surreal services and or similar then it shouldn't take longer than a hour. I started working on it but got caught up with other projects. Its possible if you think you can handle it all easily you can redesign the client itself to fit the security bot service. We can discuss anything more if this is a possibility. Thanks and appreciate your time.

Hi there, I was wondering if you would be able to make me a script similar to the one assigned at this link: I don't know if perl or php would be better for this job, but I want the script to email me when a college course goes from full or available. This is not a homework assignment, this is purely because I will need to switch classes due to a bad registration time. Please let me know if this is possible.
