We use a float switch to detect water in a flow cell, I want to get away from moving parts as the float sticks sometimes and causes leaks.

This last one I know works. We have fitted 2 of them, one to detect empty and one for full.
The problem is they are too big, I want this idea, but no need for level detection just empty full and must connect to 4 pins (2 each) or a better idea. To avoid any firmware changes, add them to the pins on our board.
