I run a moderately successful SmartDNS service, and require a system / network admin in order to update the DNS zones for one of streaming...with the proxying of the zone I have a feeling may be blocking IP addresses based on the amount of traffic they see from that IP to that zone. Every time I change the zone to point to a different IP, things start working again but only for a few hours. My guess is we may have have rotate IPs in order to get it working longterm. My system is based on PowerDNS and SNI Proxy. Two SmartDNS competitors have it working right now, so it's definitely doable. We can use them for testing. If this job goes well, I may have more similar work for you in the future. You should be confident in your knowledge of SmartDNS.
